Forth Environment Link is Recruiting Volunteer Board Members

Forth Environment Link began as the Kippen Nature Club in 1989, with the aim of teaching children about biodiversity and nature. In 2005 the organisation reconstituted as Forth Environment Link (FEL). Our work includes environmental education, waste reduction campaigns, and local food projects.

FEL serves the Forth Valley, providing services in three local authority areas – Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannanshire. FEL’s vision to inspire people to live, work and learn in a more sustainable way.
FEL has the following aims:
 To raise awareness, appreciation and understanding of the natural world
 To explain sustainability and biodiversity through direction demonstration, education and action
 To engender informed attitudes about sustainability and biodiversity
 To promote, support and develop education and action towards sustainable living

FEL is a charity and a company limited by guarantee. FEL is looking for non-executive directors to sit on its management board to provide strategic governance and oversight to the organisation.
The specific commitments are to:
 Support the vision and aims of the organisation
 Attend management committee meetings (approximately six per year)
 Support specific FEL initiatives
 Act as an ambassador for the organisation

We are looking for volunteers to make a commitment of at least one year. We are looking to extend the Board to include people with skills in finances, leadership, human resources, marketing and business development. Please note, expenses only are paid.
